Lexi Lou tonight …
Just hung up the phone with Dr. Spranklin, Who will be performing the amputation surgery for Lexi Lou.
Him and I have changed the schedule to Thursday, April 30th at 3:00 for Lexi’s surgery.
I feel good that we have two more days before this big operation… Although, she is anxious to move on and to be pain-free.
We will spend the extra hours getting more prepared. Since we have very slippery floors in our home I’m going to go out and purchase rugs and runners tomorrow throughout the house I will also have her confined to a certain area for the first week as much as possible so no other dogs are trying to lick her wound and or tugging at her to play. Kind of the norm around this multiple-Golden-house!!!
Stay tuned for more updates.
Thank you for your prayers and wishes.
Awww, what a sweet picture! Lexie Lou is one tough girl for sure. Did you know there is another 11 year old golden over in the forums who will be having his amp tomorrow? Mac has a different kind of cancer but much of the advice over there applies to Lexie Lou as well.
You and Lexie Lou are definitely not alone! Sounds like you are getting prepared for the big day, it is nice that you had the extra few days to get everything ready.
Keep us posted OK? We’ll be thinking of you…
